As Designer Candace Olson shows us in this video, today’s cork floors don’t look like bulletin boards. Rather, the looks range from that of hardwood planks to mosiac tiles. And cork is suitable in almost any room environment.

Olson is a spokeswoman for the Portuguese Cork Association (APCOR) whose manufacturer members include Amorim, USFloors, Qu-Cork, Expanko, Torly’s and WE Cork.

While cork that is suited for cork flooring all comes from the Portugal area, these manufacturers all offer different styles and advocate different finishes for the flooring’s best performance.
